Mission Committee

Chairperson: Nancy Dinsmore

Meeting: 4th Tuesday - 7:30 PM - Hammonton Church

This committee requires 15 members (7 clergy and 8 elders or laypersons).

The duties and responsibilities of this committee are to oversee and evaluate all Presbytery Mission projects, and to:

  1. recommend to the Presbytery meaningful, new opportunities for ministry and mission;
  2. provide planning and supporting strategies for the development of new churches;
  3. discern and inform the Presbytery of concerns and/or programs of the larger church and how they affect the work of this committee;
  4. supervise all aid receiving churches in concert with the Committee on Ministry;
  5. receive and evaluate all applications for aid to churches and make appropriate recommendations to the Presbytery;
  6. supplement local human resources with specialized or technical leadership to support essential work;
  7. create and present the annual mission budget for adoption by the Presbytery;
  8. develop and promote strategies for Mission throughout the Presbytery;
  9. exercise oversight of all PC(USA) summer chapels operating within the boundaries of the Presbytery.
