Church and Society Committee

Chairperson: Katherine Killebrew

Meeting: Meets 1:00 PM every 4th Wednesday of the month at Camden County College

This committee has 9 members (4 clergy and 5 elders or laypersons, including 2 racial/ethnic persons).

The duties and responsibilities of the committee are to study matters or questions of concern to the church and to society and to:

  1. discern and report to the Presbytery on matters concerning the church and society;
  2. study the implications and impact such issues as racial/ethnic matters, women's concerns, social and moral issues, political and economic issues may present as related to the church and/or our Presbytery;
  3. act as a resource for the Presbytery and its local churches who may desire more information or increase awareness and/or promote discussion or further involvement in matters concerning the church and society;
  4. make recommendations to the Presbytery for specific action on matters of concern for the church and society;
