Council

Meeting: 2^nd Tuesday (except for July and August) - 7:30 PM - Trinity Church, Cherry Hill

The Council is comprised of 26 members in accordance with the Standing Rule 710 of the Presbytery.

The duties and responsibilities of the Council are as follows:

recommend the proposed agenda for, and coordinate each meeting of, the presbytery;
oversee all committees and task forces of the Presbytery;
review all requests for expenditures of Presbytery funds;
through its personnel committee, review the performance and compensation of all staff personnel of the Presbyery;
annually review the work of each committee and task force of the Presbytery, and nominate the chairperson of each such agency;
create and organize sub-committees and task forces needed to carry out its duties and responsibilities;
create and recommend an annual administrative budget for the Presbytery;
consider all bills and overtures sent down by higher governing bodies of the church or those initiatedby the Presbytery;
annually review and recommend adjustments to the Mission budget of the Presbytery;
encourage participation of the Presbytery in ecumenical ministries.
