Representation Committee

This committee 8 people (4 females and 4 males) a majority of whom are selected from the racial/ethnic groups of the church. The composition of this committee is specified (G-9.0105) in the Book of Order.

The duties and responsibilities of this committee insure that the committees, boards and agencies of the Presbytery practice the principles of full participation and inclusion of all peoples, and to:

be an advocate to the Presbytery, concerned for the representation of racial ethnic members, women, different age groups and for persons with disabilities, so as to insure fair and effective represnetation in the decision making of the church;
review the Presbytery's performance in these matters and report annually to both the Presbytery and to the Synod with recommendations for needed corrective action;
consult with the Nominating Committee;
advise the Presbytery on the employment of personnel (G-4.0403); and on the churchwide plan for equal employment opportunity (G-13.0201b);
raise the consciousness of clergy and laity concerning inclusiveness and participation;
