Mexico DR000014
The state of Tabasco was hit by severe flooding in early November 2007 that was compared to the flooding that affected New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina. Many families have returned to their homes but as is often the case in a major disaster, the return to normal is still a long ways off. The Tabasco flooding has completely faded from the news headlines and funds to assist in the long-term recovery have been slow in arriving. PDA has provided $150,000 to the National Presbyterian Church of Mexico that has taken in lead in responding to the Tabasco community. Please continue to prayer for the Mexican church as they help families rebuild their homes and livelihoods from this disaster. Also, prayerfully consider helping PDA provide additional financial support to our Mexican partner church as they continue to minister Christ to recovering families.
